Best Lumpia Recipe Ever: Crispy, Flavor-Packed Homemade Delight
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Ground pork
- 1 cup Carrots
- 1/2 cup Green onions
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 20 pieces Lumpia wrappers
- 4 cups Vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Shrimp
- 1 cup Bean sprouts
Instructions
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add ground pork, cook 5–7 minutes, breaking up meat, until browned and no longer pink.
- Stir in shredded carrots and bean sprouts (if using). Cook 2–3 minutes, stirring until vegetables are slightly tender yet still crisp.
- Pour in soy sauce, salt, and pepper, stirring well. Cook 1 more minute to meld flavors. Transfer filling to a bowl and let it cool.
- Lay one lumpia wrapper flat with a corner facing you. Place about 2 tablespoons of cooled filling near the bottom edge, leaving room for folding.
- Fold the bottom corner over filling, tuck in sides, then roll tightly toward the top. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Pour vegetable oil into a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C). Heat over medium-high until shimmering and a breadcrumb sizzles.
- Carefully lower 4–5 rolls into hot oil. Fry 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
