- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, thyme, and black pepper to create the honey glaze.
- Season the beef roast generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the beef roast in a baking dish.
- Pour the honey glaze evenly over the beef.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium). Baste the beef with the glaze every 30 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice the honey baked beef and serve with the pan juices.
Notes
- For an even richer flavor, you can marinate the beef in half of the honey glaze for at least 30 minutes or overnight before baking.
- Serve with roasted vegetables like potatoes, carrots, or Brussels sprouts for a complete meal.
- This honey baked beef is delicious served with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
