Description

This Garlic Butter Salmon recipe delivers a quick, easy, and flavorful meal. Tender salmon fillets are pan-seared to perfection and then coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, creating a dish that is both elegant and comforting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 pinch Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until hot.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Add olive oil to the hot skillet. Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 4 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
  4. Carefully turn the salmon fillets over using a spatula. Cook for an additional 2 minutes for tender, pink centers. Adjust time based on thickness.
  5. Push the salmon to one side of the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low. Melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Tilt the pan and spoon the garlic butter sauce over each salmon piece repeatedly for 1–2 minutes, coating evenly.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Let it rest for 1 minute before serving.
  8. Add red pepper flakes if desired for a subtle spicy kick.

Notes

  • For the best texture, choose fresh, skin-on salmon fillets.
  • Patting the salmon dry thoroughly helps achieve a crispy skin.
  • Control heat levels carefully to prevent the garlic from burning.
  • Basting the salmon repeatedly with the garlic butter sauce locks in moisture and flavor.
  • Allowing the salmon to rest for a minute before serving ensures maximum tenderness.
