Description
A festive baked brie wrapped in puff pastry and topped with homemade cranberry-orange sauce, honey, and toasted nuts.

- 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (8-ounce) wheel brie cheese
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 to 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)
- Assorted crackers
- Toasted baguette slices
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes until thickened, then cool completely.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and unfold puff pastry onto sheet.
- Place brie in center, top with 1/2 cup cranberry mixture, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle nuts.
- Fold pastry over brie, seal seams, flip seam-side down. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle coarse sugar.
- Bake 25 to 28 minutes until golden brown.
- Rest 5 minutes before serving with crackers and baguette.
