Description

A comforting Cheesy Spinach and Turkey Ravioli Bake layered with savory ground turkey, wilted spinach, rich marinara sauce, and topped with melty cheese and fresh herbs. This family-friendly dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 32 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces fresh spinach
  • 24 ounces frozen cheese ravioli
  • 8 ounces grated mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese, torn into pieces
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for topping
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Set aside 1 cup of marinara sauce.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking into crumbles.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer until bubbling. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from heat.
  5. Spread ½ cup reserved marinara sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer with ⅓ of the ravioli, then ⅓ of the turkey-spinach mixture, and a portion of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat layering process two more times, finishing with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Distribute torn burrata pieces evenly over the top layer.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Fresh spinach wilts better than frozen.
  • Consider using provolone or Italian cheese blends with mozzarella for extra flavor.
  • Lean ground beef, chicken, or turkey sausage can be substituted for ground turkey.
  • Cover with foil for the first 15 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning.
  • Add mushrooms, zucchini, or bell peppers for extra vegetables.
  • The bake can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • This dish freezes well; bake from frozen, adding 10-15 minutes to the cook time.
  • Pre-cooked meat can be used; reduce cooking time for the filling.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace turkey with lentils, mushrooms, or plant-based protein.
