Description

These Easy Vanilla Pudding Dessert Cups are silky, sweet, and customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 large Egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Fresh berries
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoons Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smoothly combined.
  2. Heat Milk: Pour milk into the dry mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until warmed and bubbles form (about 5 minutes).
  3. Temper Yolks: Lightly beat egg yolks in a bowl, gradually whisk in hot milk to temper, then stir back into the pan.
  4. Cook Pudding: Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until pudding thickens and coats a spoon (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Finish with Butter & Vanilla: Off heat, stir in butter and vanilla until melted and the pudding is glossy.
  6. Chill: Spoon pudding into cups, press plastic wrap on the surface, and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  7. Serve with Toppings: Garnish with berries, whipped cream, nuts, or chocolate shavings before serving.
