Description

Spicy Dragon Chicken is a crispy, saucy, and bold Asian-inspired dish that combines sweet heat with savory crunch.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water)
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss chicken chunks with garlic powder, salt, and cornstarch until fully coated.
  2. Fry chicken in hot oil (350°F) until golden brown and crispy. Drain on wire rack.
  3. In a pan, mix soy sauce, honey, sugar, vinegar, sriracha, chili flakes, garlic, and ginger. Simmer.
  4. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and bubbles.
  5. Toss crispy chicken into the sauce until fully coated.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot.
