  • 8 ounces Smoked Ham
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fresh Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it foams and just starts to brown (2–3 minutes).
  2. Add the pear slices, arranging them in a single layer. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until edges turn golden brown and fruit begins to soften.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and clove over the pears. Stir gently for 1–2 minutes until sugar melts into a glossy, fragrant glaze.
  4. Stir in the ham pieces, cooking another 2–3 minutes until heated through, lightly crisped at the edges, and perfectly melded with the sweet-spice glaze.
  5. Season with fresh black pepper, and if desired, red pepper flakes or thyme. Let everything meld for 1 minute before removing from heat.
