- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp rosemary or thyme
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down until golden, about 6-7 minutes. Flip and cook 4-5 minutes more. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, chicken broth, maple syrup, and rosemary.
- Bring to a simmer, then nestle chicken back into the skillet.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with your favorite side.
