- 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
- Cream together butter, ricotta, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla, orange juice, and zest. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Chill dough for 30–60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment.
- Scoop dough onto sheet. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
