Easy One Pan Garlic Butter Cod Recipe That Melts in Your Mouth


Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Cod (fresh, skinless)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (freshly minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup White wine (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes, until shimmering.
  2. Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels, then season generously with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add unsalted butter to the hot pan and let it melt and turn golden.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Nestle fillets into the garlic butter and cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Carefully flip each fillet and spoon garlic butter sauce over the tops.
  7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets, sprinkle with parsley and let rest for 1 minute before serving.
