Description

Bright baked crab cakes with lemon, green onion, and Cajun seasoning served with a bold spicy mustard aioli.


Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1½ teaspoons Creole-style mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 1½ tablespoons Creole-style mustard
  • ½ teaspoon finely minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 23 dashes hot sauce
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onions, parsley, lemon juice, lemon zest, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Stir in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Gently fold in crab meat.
  5. Chill mixture for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape into 6–8 cakes and place on baking sheet.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Mix aioli ingredients until smooth.
  9. Serve warm with aioli.
