- For the Topping:
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the quartered sweet potatoes in water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
- Transfer the cooked sweet potatoes to a large bowl and mash them until smooth.
- Add the softened butter, granulated sugar, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix until well combined and creamy.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chopped pecans, mini marshmallows, melted butter, and brown sugar for the topping.
- Spread the pecan and marshmallow topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
