Easy Honey Oat Dessert Squares that melt in your mouth.
Ingredients

- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pure honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, stir together oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes until edges turn golden.
- Melt butter and honey in a small saucepan. Whisk in vanilla after removing from heat.
- Pour honey mixture over baked base and sprinkle remaining oats on top. Bake another 12–15 minutes.
- Cool completely, then slice into 12 bars.
- Optionally, sprinkle sea salt flakes on top.
