Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the carrots on a bias.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.
  4. Add carrots to the skillet and coat with glaze.
  5. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes until tender.
  6. Uncover and simmer 5 more minutes until glaze thickens.
  7. Optional: broil for 1 minute for caramelized edges.
  8. Garnish and serve warm.
