- 8 ounces Spaghetti or Linguine
- 1 tablespoon Salt (for boiling water)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 cloves Fresh Garlic (finely minced)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (chopped for garnish)
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook until just al dente, about 8β9 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil until butter foams and turns a light golden hue, about 2 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring constantly, until garlic is fragrant and just starting to turn golden, about 1β2 minutes.
- Drain pasta, reserving ΒΌ cup pasta water. Add noodles to the skillet, tossing with sauce. Splash reserved water until sauce coats each strand.
- Remove from heat, stir in parsley and parmesan. Toss until cheese melts.
