- ¼ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ cup apple sauce (unsweetened)
- ¼ cup egg whites
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- ⅓ cup almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp granulated stevia or preferred sweetener
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 4-inch mini cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate whey protein powder, cocoa powder, coconut flour, baking soda, and stevia until evenly combined.
- Pour in the almond milk, egg whites, vanilla extract, and applesauce. Stir well until a smooth, thick batter forms.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula for an even bake.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let the cake rest for 10 minutes, then carefully release it from the pan.
- Slice and enjoy as is, or top with Greek yogurt frosting or melted dark chocolate.
