Description

Delicious and easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars with a gooey, cakey texture, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 large Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving a small overhang. Lightly grease the paper.
  2. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Whisk gently to eliminate lumps.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips by hand, reserving a handful to sprinkle on top.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center looks just set.
  9. Cool bars completely in the pan on a wire rack, about 30 minutes. Use parchment overhang to lift bars out before slicing.
