Description

Discover a game-changing chicken crust pizza recipe that’s low-carb, high-protein, and incredibly satisfying. This easy homemade chicken pizza base uses ground chicken, eggs, and cheese for a flavorful alternative to traditional dough. Perfect for keto or gluten-free lifestyles, it’s a quick and delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar-free marinara or pizza sauce
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (more if desired)
  • Your choice of toppings: sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, turkey ham, olives, spinach, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, mozzarella, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the chicken mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Flatten and shape it into a pizza base about ¼-inch thick.
  4. Bake the crust for 20 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden at the edges.
  5. Remove from oven, spread marinara sauce over the crust, sprinkle with mozzarella, and add your favorite toppings.
  6. Return to oven and broil for 2–4 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully.
  7. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Ground turkey or lean beef can be substituted for chicken.
  • This recipe freezes well. Bake the crust, cool, and store before adding toppings.
  • Drain excess liquid from chicken before mixing for a less soggy crust.
  • For a crispier crust, bake a few extra minutes before adding toppings.
  • Use pre-cooked or quick-cooking toppings to avoid excess moisture.
  • Add crushed red pepper or fresh basil after baking for extra flavor.
