Description

A simple and delicious baked salmon recipe topped with a creamy, cheesy mixture. This dish is perfect for weeknight dinners and comes together quickly with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them skin-side down on the prepared tray. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Spoon the mayo-cheese mixture evenly over each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily. For a golden-brown top, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives, if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • This recipe can be made with other firm fish fillets like cod or trout.
  • Adjust the cheese blend to your preference.
  • Pairs well with steamed green beans, mashed potatoes, or quinoa.
  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder or Dijon mustard to the mayo mixture.
  • Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top before baking for added texture.
